Calvin Karl Koch was born to Johann Phillip and Anna Marie (Dietrich) Koch on September 13, 1927 in Napoleon, North Dakota. Calvin was the thirteenth child. He passed away on January 17, 2015 just before midnight of complications of influenza. The family will have a Memorial Service January 31, 2015. The service will be at the Beaverton 1st United Methodist Church; at 1 PM with a reception to follow. 12355 SW 4th Street, Beaverton, Oregon 97005. In lieu of flowers a tax-deductible donation can be made to the Beaverton 1st United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association through the website www.alz.org or calling the national telephone line 800-272-3900. Calvin married Margie J. Wincentsen, October 2, 1949 in Wittenberg, Wisconsin. They met in Chicago, IL July 1949. They met through relatives that lived in Chicago. They were married and traveled to Portland, Oregon to begin their life together. The birth of their first child Zelda Mary was August 24,1950. Ann Marie was born on August 16,1951. Calvin David was born on November 24,1952. All three children were born at St Vincent hospital in Portland, Oregon. Their first home was in Portland, OR. In November of 1950, they purchased their first home. They lived at the 140th Avenue address for 11 years. They then moved to their home on Farmington Road. They lived on Farmington road until the state bought them out to widen Farmington RD. They moved to their condo on Wilshire Street living there until moving to Rosewood Park in Hillsboro, Oregon. After they retired they both enjoyed traveling in their motor home. They traveled until poor health forced them to give up their travels in 2006. They were at home to enjoy their family. Ken and Zelda Anderson who live in Warren, Oregon. Ann Sigler lives in Beaverton and Calvin lives in Hillsboro. There are 7 grandchildren along with spouses and 13 great grandchildren. Calvin was the last surviving of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Margie. He is survived by, two daughters, Zelda Anderson (Ken), Ann Sigler, son Calvin, grandchildren and great grandchildren Calvin will be interned at the Willamette National Cemetery. Service Information
