Debra Lynn Bertrand

Debbie was born on Feb. 8, 1957 as Debra Lynn Moser and passed peacefully Oct. 6 with family in presence due to complications of bladder cancer. She is survived by her mother Marge Moser; children, Christopher Veach and Brittany Bertrand; sisters, Kathleen Canizio and Evelyn (Lyn) Guerrero; and grandchildren, Alec, Hannah, and Ashley of Chris and Keri Veach. The Sellwood community has lost one of its greatest treasures. Debbie was a true staple of the area, attending both Sellwood grade school and Cleveland High School and literally spent her life serving this community into adulthood. Debbie was extremely dedicated to her family, friends, work and community throughout her life. Whether it was at Kay's, the Intermezzo, or the Sellwood Inn - Debbie had an amazing ability to make just about anyone smile when it felt like no one else could and when they needed it the most! She made people laugh and her heart and soul poured generosity and unconditional love to all. Debbie will be very much missed by the many, many lives she touched. Anyone wishing to pay their respects can do so at Wilhelm's Portland Memorial on Friday, Oct. 20 between 9 - 3pm. A Celebration of Life will also be held that evening at Jake's Place starting at 7pm. There will not be any rememberances associated with the Sellwood Inn recognized by Debbie's family. Service Information
