Donald Richard Potts

1st Sgt Donald R Potts Sr. Donald was born on August 31,1931 in Denison, Illinois to Jack and Clara (Haynes)Potts.He grew up and went to school in Shelburn, Indiana. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army. He met & married his wife of 63 years in Okinawa, Japan where they both were stationed.After serving 20 yrs in the army, he retired and settled down in Gladstone,OR. He then went to work for the US Postal Service for another 18 yrs. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Shelton), daughter, Debbie Kinnee( Gary,deceased) two sons Donald R Jr (Margie) James Michael (Shayla),sister Phylis Pinkston and many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.He had two sisters Dorothy Buckingham and Barbara Hawkins who preceded him in death.
