Esther E. Williams January 25, 1918-October 6, 2014 Esther Erna Annas was born to Arthur Annas and Harriet Sabrina Sittkus Annas in Turner, Oregon eventually moving to Portland, Oregon. Esther was the middle child with two older brothers, Robert and Jerry, and two younger brothers, Ernest and Walter. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1936 and married Joseph Donald Williams on May 7, 1936. They were married 73 years. After raising their family, Esther went to work for Eve’s Kitchen as a cook and then worked in the office there until she retired. Esther was a gifted gardener, pianist, seamstress, and quilter. She was proud of her family and enjoyed anytime spent with her extended family especially at the Oregon coast and on camping trips. Her faithfulness to her Lord and her church was evident as she taught, sang, played the piano, and served on various committees. She and Joe had the opportunity to travel many special places and especially liked to go where it was warm. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and her many friends. Esther is survived by her brother, Walter Annas of Sequim, Washington; daughter, Joanne Dobrinski, sons, Don (Pat), Edward (Tanna), Gary (Terra); seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014, at Tabor Heights United Methodist Church, 6161 SE Stark, Portland. The family suggests that memorial gifts be designated to Tabor Heights United Methodist Church. Service Information
