Harold L. Miley

October 14, 1921 — January 12, 2017

Harold Laverne Miley was born October 14, 1921 to Leon Miley and Edith Cole Miley. He was a Portland native, attending Richmond Grade School and Franklin High School. Harold graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 1949. His college was interrupted by World War II. He served the Army in the 191st Tank Battalion attached to the 45th Infantry Division from August 1942 until September 1945. After coming home he finished getting a degree from Lewis and Clark College. Harold worked for Sears in the parts department from 1945 until 1986. Harold married Anna Nell and they lived a lovely life together. In 1954, Carl joined their family. He was the joy of their life. Harold attended Metropolitan Baptist Church and Mill Park Baptist Church. Harold is survived by his sister Vera White and his son Carl Miley. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Northwest Baptist Center on Tuesday January 24 at 2:00 pm. Service Information
