Helen Amanda Haley

Helen Amanda Haley was born August 25, 1913 in Portland, Oregon to Morgan and Augusta Howells, and passed away on December 24, 2014 in Gresham, Oregon. She grew up in Portland and graduated from Clinton Kelly Commerce High School in 1933. She married Duane Willard Haley in 1936. They loved to go dancing at the Elks Club, hosting parties, entertaining, and going out with friends. They were married almost 60 years until his death in 1996. She enjoyed her daily walks at the Clackamas Town Center, playing Bunco with her lady friends, spending time with family, and was a long time member of Oak Hills Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her four daughters: Marlene Stephenson, Anna Haley, Marilyn Horrocks, Tammy Beck, 8 granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Helen will be interned at Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial with her husband Duane. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Oaks Hills Presbyterian Church, 5101 Southeast Thiessen Road, Milwaukie, OR 97267. A reception will follow. Service Information
