Helen Maxine Kolb

Helen Kolb, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017 of natural causes. She had been under the loving care of her caregivers as well as the Hospice employees to include: Bonnie, her head nurse, and Jamie her social worker. Her immediate family and caregivers were by her side at the time of her passing. Helen was born on November 4, 1937 in Litchfield Nebraska. She was the third of seven children born to Clarence and Ester Neilsen. She has two surviving sisters, Ruthie and Eunice, still living in Nebraska. Helen is survived by her son, Dennis Kolb, daughters Denice Jones and Lucinda Kolb, as well as her grandchildren, Alexandria Starr, Lucretia Stevens, David Evers, Brittnay Kolb, and Amber Langley. She also leaves behind her great grand children, Helena 16, Aurora 11, Cadance 10, Blake 9, Aydan 8, Myanna 8, Kamryn 7, Korra 2, and Dylan 1, who were the love of her life. Helen enjoyed bowling, square dancing, attending church, and participating in activities at the community center in Gladstone. While living in Milwaukie she loved to play cards with the ladies at her apartment complex. She also was addicted to doing the Sunday crosswords and solving Soduko puzzles. She was a kind hearted, spiritual person. Helen: Meaning: Light You’re quick to solve puzzles without hints or clues, and shed light on situations known to confuse.
