Janet Dorthea Hildenbrand

Janet Dorthea Hildenbrand Mar. 12, 1919 – Feb. 1, 2014 Janet Dorthea Fleming was born in Portland, OR. She passed away at her home in Beaverton, attended by family, from natural causes. Janet graduated from Lincoln High School and attended business school. She met Lester Hildenbrand and married May 25, 1940. After World War II they settled in Eastmoreland and raised a son, Jerry and daughter Julie. Janet was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She had a pleasing personality and had many friends. Janet was very active as a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church until her health restricted her activities. Janet is survived by her two children, Jerry Hildenbrand and Nancy and Julie Hoffmaster; Grandchildren Eileen Ebanks (Doug), Roy Hildenbrand, Dan Hildenbrand (Toni Ann), Monica Stone, Melissa Stone and Molly Stone; Great Grandchildren Quaid and Keaton Ebanks, Symone and Emmett Hildenbrand, Erica, Taylor and Samantha Hildenbrand, Joshua Stone and Noah Owen. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Funeral Home. A reception will follow and at 2 p.m. a Graveside service at Willamette National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jack Scheirman , Jerry Hildenbrand, Dan Hildenbrand, Roy Hildenbrand, Doug Ebanks and Melissa Stone. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
