Jeannette Wilna Huffman

Jeanette Huffman passed away on December 9, 2015 at age 90. She was born along with twin brother Jean in Portland, Oregon on March 7, 1925, to parents Horace Welch and Mary Parker Welch. She was raised in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Portland where she attended Abernathy and Brooklyn Elementary schools and eventually graduated from Commerce High School. She enjoyed playing sports as a child, and as an adult was a great sports fan, especially of her beloved Portland Trail Blazers. She held a variety of jobs over the course of her life; she eventually retired as a pharmacy store clerk. She was married to her husband, Jim for over 40 years before his passing in 1998. She loved music and dancing, was outgoing, friendly and dearly loved her friends and family. She is survived by her four children, Jim Merz, Keith Maehren, Rosemary Eaton, and Julie Huffman, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on December 22nd, at 12:30 P.M Service Information
