Kathleen Francis Martin

Kathleen “Kitty” Martin Kathleen “Kitty” Martin passed away February 10, 2015. She was 95. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Lynch of Springfield, Massachusetts, her daughter, Eileen Taylor-Campbell of Portland, Or, grandson Michael Taylor of Boring, Or, Crystal Burch of Prineville, Or, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Brothers Tim and Jack preceded Kitty in death. Kitty was born November 15, 1919 in Springfield, Ma to Molly and Daniel Lynch, immigrants from Ireland. In November of 1949, she married Mike Taylor, a veteran Marine of the South Pacific campaign of WWII. Son, Ron was born to the couple in April 1951. Ron preceded his Mother in death. The couple moved to Gold Hill, Or in 1953 due to her husband’s adverse reaction to the New England climate. Daughter Eileen was born to the couple in June 1954. She moved to the Portland area in 1970. Kitty worked for Montgomery Wards for 39 years as administrative staff until her retirement in 1981. She was active in neighborhood groups and the Pythian Sisters and was a member of St Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish. She was known as a kind friend to all and an animal lover. She enjoyed her final years living at Raleigh Hills Assisted Living, joining in many activities including trips, bingo and Happy Hour. She shall be missed. Service Information
