Keith Lloyd was born Aug. 17, 1926 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He passed away Oct. 29, 2016, at 90 years old, from complications of Parkinson's, in his home, with daughter, Debbie holding his hand. Keith's parents, Arlie Augustus Lloyd and Chloe Rebecca Harden Lloyd were farmers. They moved to Seattle to work for Boeing, building Boeing B-47 Stratojet bombers for WWII. Keith's dad, Arlie and brother, Daryl were on the cover of Life Magazine with the aircraft.
Keith worked the night shift so he was not in the picture but proud of his work. Keith was a self taught TV repairman and journeyman electrician. Keith retired from Wistings TV Service as one of their best repairmen. His children benefited with color TVs in their bedrooms before most Americans had them.
Keith and his family, including their six cats, traveled from their four story Hawthorne house to their Astoria cabin every weekend. They enjoyed boating, playing in the ocean and fishing, it was a wonderful childhood for us. Keith worked as a theatre auditor for Theatrical Entertainment Services for many years after Helens death. All of the movie theatre staff loved dad. Keith had a passion for cars and owned many including his 1942 Lincoln Continental and his Lincoln Mark VI. Keith sang all the time and loved music including Les Paul and Mary Ford, whom he saw in concert.
Keith was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoying many potluck birthdays at Benson Lake with them. Keith was predeceased by his parents, Arlie and Chloe Lloyd; siblings, Daryl, Donald, Maxine, and James; wife, Barbara May and wife, Helen Johnson-Damron; fiancé, Carol Hoyt; daughter, Rhonda Lloyd; daughter-in-law, Barb Damron; and grandson, Steven Damron. Keith is survived by children, Ronald, Arlie, and Debbie; daughters-in-law, Sharon Damron-McCandliss and Lois Lloyd; son-in-law, Alfredo Zavala; step-children, Tom and Sheree Damron; grandchildren, Tommy, Toni, Nicholas, Josh, Quentin, Jake, Pearla, Nathan, Thomie, Carolyn, Barbara, Jessie, Shawneen, Angel, Jazmin and Mary Lloyd; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Billy, Kerengel, James, Emily and Haylee. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at Wilhelms Portland Memorial Funeral Home and Mausoleum, 6705 SE 14th Ave. Portland, 97202.
