Lorraine Josephine Livesay at the age of 91, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, October 17, 2015 at Miramont Pointe in Clackamas.
Lorraine was born at Sellwood Hospital to John and Filomena Colistro, and was the youngest of ten girls and lived in SE Portland. She attended Girls’ Polytechnic School in Portland, where she majored in home economics.
On July 30, 1943, Lorraine married the love of her life, Earl Robert Livesay. Together they raised three children, Linda, Debra, and James. They enjoyed over 70 years of marriage. Their travels took them on many cruises to Alaska, Europe, the Bahamas, Hawaii, Panama Canal and the Caribbean.
She is survived by her daughter Debra and son James, grandchildren Aimiee, Jonathan, Janelle, Andrew and Lesley, great grandchildren Beth, Katie, G’Von, Journie and her sister Gloria.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 2014, daughter Linda in 2013, and eight of her elder sisters; Mary, Nelly, Josephine, Margaret, Vera, Irma, Eleanor, and Joanne.
Lorraine was the consummate homemaker and incredible cook. Pastries, cookies, and pies her specialties, even winning a ribbon at the county fair.
This incredibly strong woman loved her family more than anything and will be missed by all the lives she touched.
