Marietta M. (Mullett) Lynch July 16, 1920 – April 15, 2013 Marietta was born in Sprague, Washington to Lambert J. and Margaret E. (Moylan) Mullett. Her family moved to Portland in 1924. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1938 and married James V. Lynch on January 24, 1946. She is survived by daughters, Meg (Kevan Lee-Andersen) and Mary (Rex Clark), sons Mike (Susan) and Jimmy (Paula Nuyen), and daughter-in-law, Merri. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Todd Lynch (Ane), Kimberly Hampton (Monte), Shannon Dickinson (Joe), and Meghann Lynch; and five great-grandchildren. Her husband Jim (January 1996) and son Pat (March 2013) preceded her in death, as did her siblings, Donald Mullett and Patricia Brace. She was a stay-at-home mother until 1960, when she resumed working for North Pacific Insurance (where she had worked before her marriage). She retired in 1982. Services on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 include a Rosary at 10 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3910 SE 11th Ave., Portland. Arrangements by Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Funeral Home. Contributions in lieu of flowers to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul or the Oregon Food Bank. Service Information
