July 2, 1943 — July 17, 2016

Marilyn David-May, of Cloverdale passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after years of battling the effects of 2 strokes and a heart attack. She stayed strong until the very end. Marilyn was born July 2nd, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Peter and Helen David-Rigutto. In 1944 Peter built a small cabin in Tierra del Mar. Marilyn spent many happy years at the beach and made many good friends, one of whom was Stan May. Marilyn grew up in SE Portland, graduated from Cleveland High School and studied at OCE in Monmouth. She also took travel and tourism classes and spent some 20 years traveling extensively in Mexico, Costa Rica, Scotland, England, Wales, Monte Carlo, Italy, and Paris, France and several islands in Hawaii, Maui was her favorite. Marilyn married Barry Kilian with who she had two beautiful daughters. Many years later in 1998, following forty years of friendship, Marilyn married the love of her life, Stan May. Stan loved and cared for her compassionately until her death. She died on July 17th on their 18th wedding anniversary. Marilyn loved life and all that it entailed. She loved her family, long time friends (of which she had many), her doxies: Joey, Sissy and Indy, her gardens and of course her beautiful flowers. Marilyn enjoyed watching Life Time and Hallmark Movies and Wheel of Fortune. She appreciated her Union background at the Machinist Union and was proud to be a democrat. Marilyn always shed a tear when she heard “God Bless America”. Marilyn is survived by her husband Stan May, daughters Kristy Casley (Ray), Kimi Kruger (Randy). Three natural grandchildren: Ryan and Kyle Kruger and Steven Casley. As well as her extended family including Laura Woody, Tim May (Becky), Arnold May (Jessica) and nine step grandchildren.
