Mary D. Colligan

Mary D. Colligan, 86 March 13, 1926 May 17, 2012 Mary was born in Bagley, Minn., the second of five daughters, of Penn and Martha Mathewson. In 1947, she married James Colligan of Lengby, Minn. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Jim. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James; daughter, Judy (James Marshall); sons, Patrick (Christina) and Michael; and granddaughters, Katelyn and Madison. Family and friends will remember Mary for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor; her expert skills in sewing and cooking; and her love of travel and reading. Celebrations of Mary's life are planned in Portland and Bagley, Minn. In Portland at Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 6705 SE 14th Ave. at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23. Mary's family would like to give special thanks to Doctors Pat Dunn and Barry Egener for their expert care over the years, and to the nursing staff at the West Hills nursing facility.
