Pauline "Braun" Fitterer

Pauline Fitterer Sept 29, 1923 – Jan 24, 2014 Pauline Fitterer was born in Glen Ullin, ND, on September 29th, 1923 to Juliana(Gartner) and Fred Braun. She was the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters and the sole survivor at the time of her passing. She married Steve Fitterer on July 27th 1943 in Glen Ullin and then they headed West to Portland, Oregon where Steve worked as a Longshoreman until his retirement. Pauline and Steve raised three children Richard, Bruce and Victoria (Suchy). She had five grandchildren Andrew, Camille, Heather (Suchy), Lindsay (Suchy), Jordon (Suchy) and three great grandchildren Noah Fitterer (18), Carter Suchy( 5 mos), and Leo Wallace Fitterer(1 week). Pauline was preceded in passing by Lindsay in 2002, and by Steve in 2005 after 62 years of marriage. Pauline was a homemaker, cub scout den mother, voter ballot counter, long time Eagles member, volunteer at St Philip Neri Church Altar Society and a cancer survivor. Pauline celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends in September at Regency Park Assisted Living. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday January 30th at 11 AM at St Philip Neri, 16th and SE Division, Portland Service Information
