Rita Ann Shanahan

Rita Shanahan was born to Anton and Anna Krzycki near Genoa, Nebraska. She was one of ten children. She met Arnold Shanahan in Genoa and they were married at St. Mary’s Cathedral on June 7, 1941. Rita worked at Sears for many years. Upon retirement they enjoyed traveling, working at Holy Cross Catholic Church and family. Rita is survived by her sons Kenneth (Shirley) and Robert; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by Arnold. Thank you to Veronica and Rita for their loving care at North Star Adult Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at Holy Cross Church, 5227 N. Bowdoin St, Portland.
