Rosemary Alvina Borene

Rosemary Alvina Borene, 98, passed away after a long illness. She was born on April 21, 1927, in Logan, Oregon, to Oliver and Anna Hull. Rosemary was a loving mother to her daughters, Roseann Cotton (Steve), Virginia Monzo, Mary Powell (Lee), and Ellen Hartley, and to her son, Dale Hartley (Eileen). She was a devoted grandmother to Robert, Matthew, Lee, Melanie, Stephanie, Michael, Bill, Jesse, Brandon, Stacy, Jason, and Ryan, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Fiocchi, Jr., her parents, her three siblings, her son-in-law, Peter Monzo, and her husband, Lloyd Coffey.

When she was eighteen, Rosemary worked as a telephone operator in San Francisco. There, she met her future husband, Robert Fiocchi, who served in the United States Navy. She moved with him to different bases during his service. They later divorced.

Rosemary was an active member at Tri-City Baptist Church in Gladstone for over forty years. She devoted considerable time to assisting others through her mission work. She hosted them at her home when they temporarily returned to the States for rest and recovery.

Rosemary loved to travel and visited every continent. Her home is filled with many souvenirs from her journeys. When she took her grandchildren to Disneyland and Hawaii, it gave her more opportunities to satisfy her love of travel.

Rosemary leaves behind many friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, passion for life, and willingness to lend a hand during times of need. She will be missed by her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Funeral service is Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Tri-City Baptist Church, 18025 Webster Rd., Gladstone, OR 97027. Reception to follow. Graveside service at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Happy Valley, OR 97086 on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
