Virginia’s family was the most important thing in the world to her. She was happiest when the whole group was together and a trip to her house meant good meals, wonderful pies and trays and trays of her famous, delicious chocolate éclairs. No one was a stranger and with five children the house was always busy with the kids and their friends. She was never hesitant about trying something new, and took up golf in her fifties and well as waterskiing for the first time. She sewed clothes for the grandchildren and knit many afghans, sweaters and dish cloths for family and friends. Following her husband’s death she moved to King City in Tigard, then to a retirement home there. She was very active socially, calling bingo, playing cribbage and joining in with other musicians at the home on her accordion. She even set up a special night of the week for everyone to listen to CD’s by her favorite singer, Daniel O’Donnell. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
